On Tuesday 16th December we held another internal Club competition, this time for the Sid Scott Memorial Trophy.
The competition was arranged for five teams with three players in each team.
Each team played against every other team.
For every game that they won, a team would get 2 points, with 1 point to each team for a draw, and zero for a loss.
After playing all the games, the points were added up to decide which was the winning team overall.
The only team to win all 4 of their games, and therefore the outright winners, were the Purple Team.
However there were three of the remaining teams who had all won 2, and lost 2 games. So the total number of shots scored across all their games was used to decide who came 2nd, 3rd, and 4th
Taking the Runners-Up position, then, by just one shot were the Yellow Team.
Winners Purple Team : Tony Sellick, Kathy Marshall, & Roger Gill
Runners Up Yellow Team : Ann Cook, Jeanette Statham & Les James
