Ladies Singles. Tuesday 11th February 2025

On Tuesday, 11th February 2025, we held our Ladies Singles competition.

Although eight ladies had put their names on the ‘sign-up’ sheet, two of them had to withdraw from playing in the competition because of medical issues, which left six players taking part on the day.

This was a small enough number to enable the playing of a proper ‘round robin’ style of competition, where each person played a game against every other player – 15 games to be played in total over two mats. For every game that they won, a player would get 2 points, with 1 point to each player for a draw, and zero for a loss.

After playing all the games, the points were added up to decide which was the winning player overall. At the end of a busy but enjoyable afternoon the ladies singles winner was named.
